
Akshay Kamath is a first-year Master’s thesis student at Georgia Tech. He received his Bachelor’s degree from NITK Surathkal, India. Before joining Georgia Tech, he spent over 4 years as an ASIC RTL Design Engineer at Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) developing cryptographic accelerator IPs, high-speed mixed-signal transceiver IPs, and test chips. He has also previously interned at the University of Toronto as a Mitacs Globalink Fellow.
His research involves the development of scalable FPGA-based accelerators for computer vision applications using High-Level Synthesis tools.
